About Me.

I have been working in community and inpatient clinical mental health for many years, supporting clients across a wide spectrum of needs — from complex presentations such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, depression, and alcohol and other drug (AOD) concerns, through to individuals seeking regular ongoing therapy as part of their everyday wellbeing.

Counselling and social work have always been a deep passion of mine. Working with people as they navigate difficult chapters in their lives brings me immense fulfilment. My experience is both personal and practical — having supported my own children through the NDIS and my parents through aged care, I bring firsthand understanding of how complex these systems can be. My approach is warm, informal, and grounded in genuine connection. I am deeply passionate about counselling and supporting individuals and families through whatever challenges they face.

My Approach

Strengths Based

I don't see people as a list of problems to be fixed — I see the whole person: someone who has already survived, adapted, and found ways through. Together, we'll build on the strengths, values, and resilience you already carry, using them as the foundation for meaningful change. People are more than what's gone wrong — and that's where I like to begin.

Systems/family thinking

I take a family-centred, systems-focused view because I know people don't exist in isolation. We're shaped by our relationships, our environments, and the systems we move through — so I'll always consider the bigger picture, not just the person in front of me.

Trauma Informed

I work from a trauma-informed approach, which means I focus first on creating a space that feels safe — because that's where real healing starts. I'll never push you to go somewhere you're not ready to go. You set the pace, you choose what we talk about, and we work together, always. I believe in asking "what happened to you?" rather than "what's wrong with you?" — and my role is to walk alongside you with understanding, not to fix anything.

Collaborative and culturally sensitive

I work collaboratively — this is a partnership, not me handing down answers. You're the expert in your own life, and we'll figure things out together. I also bring cultural sensitivity to how I work, because I know that your background, identity, and lived experience shape how you see the world — and I respect that.
